Find out more about our ‘Powershop: Crash course in university admissions’
We know that most students need help with their Statement of purpose. That’s why we recorded this episode to dive deeper into the process to mindfully and purposefully - ha! ha! - create a statement of purpose!
In this episode, our specialist writer, Varun, breaks down the process used by our consultants to create statement of purposes for our students. This process has worked time and again!
The 5 steps are:
- Story - Write 5 adjectives that describe who you are. Brainstorm the stories/experience from your life that reflects these adjectives.
- Outline - Create an outline that emphasizes Readability and Sense of action.
- Delivery - How do the tone, voice, and confidence come off from the words you use?
- Language - Grammar, quality of words (there’s a surprise here!)
- Beta-Test - Measure the message in your statement of purpose compared with the 5 adjectives you listed in Step 1.
